Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I am proud to announce my candidacy for Bexar County Tax Assessor-Collector. As the front runner in this election, I am committed to maintaining this status and to victories in the primary and general elections.

My goal as Tax Assessor is to help and serve our citizens in any way possible and to also work closely with our business community. I will work to make the Tax Assessor’s Office more customer-oriented, accessible, and efficient for everyone, while helping to take its operations to the next level. My office will always be about PUTTING PEOPLE FIRST and about FAIRNESS AND INTEGRITY FOR OUR TAXPAYERS!

As a former City Manager who holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, a retired San Antonio District Fire Chief, and a real estate agent, I feel I am uniquely qualified to serve in this position. As a City Manager, I worked extensively with budgets and finances, including tax revenues and expenditures. I feel my government operations background of over 30 years coupled with the hands on experience of operating a city will be an asset to Bexar County during these challenging times.

Let me assure you that I am in this race for the right reasons. As a San Antonio Firefighter and Paramedic for 25 years, I always put the lives and interests of our citizens before mine. As a City Manager, I oversaw finances, balanced budgets, and managed tax revenues and expenditures. As a Tax Assessor, I will do the same and more.
